The Ski Club of Victoria ran organised skiing lessons on grass at Eaglemont during the 1930’s.
You can see a Chinese market garden in the background of this video.
‘The skiing slope may be reached from the Eaglemont station by walking down the Eyrie to the Lower Heidelberg road. The slopes are near a deep cutting, and on the river side of the road’
